Warranties and user guides

What is the warranty period?

When it comes to warranty, it's also important to understand what constitutes proper use. We've tried to compile all the relevant information and present it in a human-friendly way, so you can keep the product you ordered in good condition for longer and understand the warranty. Let's get started.

1-year FansBRANDS® warranty

Almost all products in the FansBRANDS® store have a one-year manufacturer's warranty.

2-year hourly warranty

All FansBRANDS® watches (Ferrari watches) have a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.

What product does it apply to?

Virtually everything: shoes, t-shirts, hats, sweaters, pants, etc.—in other words, all clothing. Also accessories: bags, purses, etc. Of course, there are some items we can't guarantee: books, perfumes, fragile items (mugs), etc.

In the latter case, we've told you many times that the best solution is to videotape how you open the package after receiving it. This is important because, for example, if a fragile product is damaged during shipping, it's the only way to prove it. So, record a video!

What are the possible warranty issues?

This can be a tricky subject with clothing, but at FansBRANDS® we do our best to ensure that genuine warranty issues are handled appropriately .

I say real because, of course, many people try (unsuccessfully, of course) to replace products that have been broken, washed... and not treated properly.

The warranty issue is always due to a manufacturer's defect that occurs under normal use . A manufacturing defect is one that was present at the time of sale but wasn't apparent during inspection. Some examples include sewing, gluing, and material defects.

What are out-of-warranty issues?

Many people want us to replace their products for many reasons, but unfortunately, we also see many who have damaged them through their own fault. In almost all cases, we can tell you what happened to the product because at FansBRANDS® we don't just sell them, we wear and use them every day and know exactly what they are.

  • An obvious tear or rip does not constitute a warranty issue.
  • For example, if you wash the product at a different temperature and the color bleeds or the printed logos come off, despite the washing instructions, this is also not a warranty issue.
  • Failure to use the product as intended will also void the warranty. For example, our shoes are not suitable for playing soccer or sports, as defects resulting from such activities are immediately detectable.

Special cases

There may be extreme cases where some product parameters differ from those described. In such cases, we will replace the product and reimburse you for shipping costs.

  • When the shoe size doesn't match the size on the box.
  • When the photo on the website doesn't reflect the actual product received. (Except for products that only have graphics, for example because they're not yet in production.)

Packaging damaged when delivered by courier?

If the packaging is damaged and you believe your order may be incomplete or damaged, DO NOT SEND THE PACKAGE!

If you receive it, record a video of the resolution! Only then can you prove your case in case of an error.

Warranty for fragile products

IMPORTANT: For fragile products, regardless of the packaging, ALWAYS RECORD A VIDEO of the opening of the packaging and inspection of the product. Otherwise, you will not be able to prove that the product was damaged during shipping. We cannot accept photographs.

- The purpose of footwear

Not all shoes are suitable for all situations. For example, you won't use our Drift Cat sneakers for hiking. And, in general, none of our shoes are suitable for playing soccer! Defects resulting from improper use are not covered by the warranty, so pay special attention to this ! At FansBRANDS®, you'll find the following types:

  • Sports shoes, handball shoes, thermal shoes : for indoor use only.
  • Athletic shoes, basketball shoes, thermals : for indoor use only.
  • Sports shoes, running shoes : can be used outdoors and indoors.
  • Sports shoes, running shoes, outdoor : for outdoor use.
  • Sports shoes, tennis shoes : can be used indoors or outdoors.
  • Sports shoes, fitness shoes : for indoor use only.
  • Sports shoes, hiking shoes : for hiking or trekking.
  • Recreational footwear : Footwear that is not intended for regular use and may be used for recreational, non-competitive sporting activities: its material composition, upper design, lower structure, except in winter weather conditions, specifically permits active physical activity.
  • Footwear for regular use in spring/autumn : footwear that, except in winter weather conditions, is suitable for prolonged use.
  • Regular summer footwear : footwear made of materials and construction that allow for greater breathability of the foot.
  • Slippers : footwear, usually consisting only of a headdress or straps, suitable primarily for occasional use at home or on the beach, possibly fashionable footwear.
  • Extreme fashion footwear : footwear with a special construction and/or a narrow-short sole and/or a specific cut and/or a very different color and/or a special material composition, etc., designed primarily to meet the demands of fashion.

- Cleaning, care

Footwear care includes cleaning dirt from shoes, treating the color and upper with various agents, improving their appearance, regenerating them, and preparing them for new use. Sometimes, treatment also aims to preserve or enhance other characteristics of the footwear.

  • Remove light dirt from the leather upper (natural grain) with a soft cloth and a soft-bristled brush, and coarser dirt with a leather eraser , both dry. Apply a thin layer of shoe polish in the same color as the leather, preferably colorless, to the clean, dry surface and buff after a few minutes. If necessary, a silicone self-polishing polish can be used. Never clean leather shoes when they are wet or with water.
  • Remove light dirt from coated leather uppers with a soft cloth, then treat with a care product recommended for this material.
  • Remove light dirt from suede or nubuck uppers with a soft-bristled brush. You can smooth the surface with a rubber shoe brush (pull in one direction only). Coarser dirt can be removed with a leather eraser . It's then advisable to rub the shoe with a suede-nubuck cleaning sponge . Finally, spray the entire upper evenly with a velvety nubuck spray in the same color as the upper.
  • Oily leather : Clean as described for suede, care with shoe polish or grease for oily shoes.
  • Patent leather : Remove dirt with a soft-bristled brush or a slightly damp soft cloth, then polish with a soft cloth after drying. You can use a patent leather cleaner , but do not use shoe polish.
  • Faux leather : Remove dirt with a warm cloth dampened with clean water, dry away from radiant heat, and then buff with a soft cloth. You can also use the recommended shampoo for faux leather described in the instructions for use. Do not use shoe polish.
  • Textiles : Use a soft-bristled brush—used exclusively for this purpose—to remove dust and dirt. For more severe soiling, we recommend using a special textile cleaning shampoo , following the instructions.
  • Combined/multi-fabric uppers : Clean and care for the fabric according to the recommendations, taking care not to contaminate the part of the fabric not being cleaned. If the materials are very different, you can use a shampoo formulated and recommended for footwear , as described in the care instructions.
  • For the care of the upper part of footwear with GORE-TEX or similar membranes, use only the products recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Liners : If the liners need to be cleaned, do so according to the label and lining material, as described in the materials above.
  • Soles : Clean them with a stiff brush when dry. If they remain dirty, they can be cleaned with a damp cloth, but be careful not to dirty the upper!

- Some tips and warnings

Don't ignore the following, it could damage your shoes!

  • The footwear we sell is not waterproof, unless otherwise indicated. Footwear with nubuck, suede, and textile uppers is not waterproof.
  • Wear closed shoes with socks only.
  • Always loosen or fasten fasteners (laces, Velcro, buckles, etc.) when taking them off or putting them on, as the bark may be damaged.
  • Tighten the closures so that there is minimal heel movement in the shoe to prevent damage to the lining.
  • When putting on your shoes, use a shoehorn!
  • After use, shine the shoe or stuff the head with paper to smooth out wrinkles!
  • Dry wet footwear - whether insoles or padding - in a well-ventilated area away from radiant heat.
  • It's very important to change your shoes daily, if possible. Non-sweaty feet also produce sweat, which is absorbed by the lining (the fleshy part of the upper skin in the case of unlined shoes). It needs to be able to release it, so you should rest and air out your shoes. Otherwise, the materials will deteriorate prematurely.
  • The embroidered parts are very fragile.
  • Wear footwear appropriate for the weather conditions!
  • If your footwear has a small defect, have it repaired immediately to avoid possible damage!

Formula 1 Product User Guide

- Introduction

When purchasing, it is especially important to choose clothing products for their intended use (sports, leisure) and for the appropriate sport, taking into account the demands of the sport.

Ignoring this can lead to misuse and premature wear, so please read the information on the labels (sewn-in and hanging) carefully before purchasing, or ask us for advice.

- Labeling and composition

For clothing, the information you need can be found in two places: on the sewn-in label and on the hang tag (and, for some products, on the packaging where permitted).

The product information is as follows:

  • the raw material composition of the product
  • size indication
  • manipulation symbols
  • product name
  • identification mark (which is an item number in addition to the brand)

- Information on the sewn-in label

Composition of raw materials:

  • Cotton = cotton
  • Viscose = viscose
  • Polyester = polyester
  • Polyamide = polyamide
  • Acrylic = polyacrylic
  • Wool = lana
  • Elastane = elastane (polyurethane, elastic fiber)
  • Duck down = duck down
  • Duck feather = duck feather

Size indication:

Please carefully review the product size numbers, as some may be familiar to you. Our products feature size designations from various countries.

For example:

US (United States): L, CAN (Canada): G, D (German): 40, UK (United Kingdom): 14, F (French): 42, E (Spanish): 44, I (Italian): 44

The women's sizes listed correspond to the same anatomical size, but are based on sizes from different countries. The same applies to our men's products. Our sales staff can also provide you with further information.

Embedded treatment symbols:

The numbers in the washing symbol indicate the maximum temperature allowed for wet treatment. The hand symbol only allows hand washing with a maximum temperature of 40°C. There are higher washing temperatures than those indicated, but most of our products can be washed at temperatures corresponding to the above. There are higher washing temperatures than those indicated, but most of our products can be washed at temperatures corresponding to the above. An underline below the symbol indicates gentle treatment; two adjacent underlines indicate very gentle treatment. A mark without an underline but with a wash temperature indicates normal mechanical treatment.

Indications related to whitening:

The triangle with the Cl (chlorine) symbol inside allows chlorine bleaching.

Instructions related to ironing

The permitted ironing temperature is indicated by one, two or three dots.

  • One tip allows for an ironing temperature of 110 C°, which is considered a normal ironing temperature for delicate synthetic fabrics.
  • Two points allow an ironing temperature of 150 C° on the soleplate.
  • Three points allow an ironing temperature of 200 C°.

Never experiment with ironing temperatures, as some finishes (e.g. heat-sensitive dyes, elastic fibers, etc.) may require the manufacturer to specify a lower temperature than usual to avoid damaging the material.

Dry cleaning instructions:

  • For the letter "A", all common solvents used in dry cleaning can be used.
  • For "P", perchloroethylene and other appropriate solvents can be used.
  • The letter "F" indicates the use of fluorine and gasoline.

Highlighting dry cleaning instructions means strictly limiting the cleaning process in terms of water addition, drying temperature, and mechanical operations. Self-service laundry cleaning is not permitted in these cases.

Instructions related to drying:

One dot in the symbol means a lower drying temperature, two dots mean a higher drying temperature.

Important: Crossed-out marks always indicate a prohibition, i.e., a treatment that is not permitted.

- Text user manual

  • It is advisable to wash colored items (except pastel colors) separately in the prewash, as this will remove any excess dye that may have splashed onto the fabric's surface without discoloring it when washed with other items.
  • Linen trousers (and other similar products) with a colorfast finish should always be washed separately, inside out.
  • However, loop-washed backed garments should not be washed inside out, as short, stranded fibers could adhere to the surface of other garments washed together.
  • The formation of curls on products with a curly surface is reduced by washing, so it is recommended to wash them before the first collection.
  • Immediately after swimming in the sea or hot springs, rinse your swimsuit with clean, running water and then wash it at home with a liquid detergent. Remove sunscreen with a mild detergent. Never dry your swimsuit in the sun or leave it wrapped in a towel for long periods of time. Concrete surfaces can damage the swimsuit fabric. Always sit or lie down on a towel!
  • Wash your down bathrobe (if washable) according to the sewn-in treatment symbol! Always dry at room temperature, away from radiant heat, lying flat. During drying, turn the product over several times and loosen the down. If the padding is dense to prevent down migration, shaking may not loosen the down enough, in which case you will need to gently "rub" the down off the ruffles. This may require considerable physical labor, but it will restore the coat to its original appearance.
  • Always wash products with the drawstring or Velcro closure closed to prevent premature wear and tear and to prevent the closures from damaging other parts of the product.
  • Depending on the raw material composition and the structure of the fabric, many sweaters can only be dried flat and shaped to avoid distortion. For example, pure wool and pure cotton sweaters, but it is also advisable to dry wool-acrylic blend sweaters this way.
  • To wash wool and products of this type, use only wool detergent.
  • Prints cannot be ironed .
  • Cotton-polyester blend T-shirts and sweaters are naturally prone to pilling. Pilling can be delayed and reduced by washing the garment inside out and ironing it with a flat iron after drying.
  • The surface of products made with upholstery fabric should be smoothed after washing, while still damp, by lightly brushing along the grain. This will ensure the product retains its original finish for a long time.

- IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Handle all products only in accordance with the sewn-in handling markings and text instructions. Any other handling may damage the product and limit or void your warranty rights .
  • Do not apply detergents or rinse agents to the product in concentrated form.
  • Take special care when using products with color combinations or decorated with pastel colors, and use a mild detergent to prevent darker colors from discoloring lighter ones.
  • Most of today's clothing products are easy to handle, including washing, so soaking is usually not necessary. If you think the product is more soiled, wash it beforehand! Soaking, especially if the product has been in the wash solution for too long, can cause staining.

Any warranty issues should be referred to the seller for consultation, and the product should be returned to the seller's address. FansBRANDS®, 2600 Vac, Rádi út 1-3 (Pit Box Kft.) .

Customer Service Contact: Tel.: +44 20 4525 6774 Email: sales@fansbrands.com . Returning the product is the consumer's responsibility and expense. In addition to the product, please send the warranty booklet and invoice, or a copy of it, to the service center, as warranty repairs can only be performed with these documents. What does the warranty cover?

The manufacturer's warranty only covers the watch movement if it can be proven that the watch is defective from the factory. The product manufacturer will investigate and determine whether the movement is truly defective or if it was caused by improper use. Damage to the watch movement case, crystal, winding crown, or strap, or battery replacement, are not covered by the warranty. Furthermore, in the event of a broken watch, the warranty does not cover repairs. Any repair work on the watch (battery replacement, strap repair, etc.) must be performed only by the designated warranty service (which in Hungary is always performed by FansBRANDS®). Any repair work performed elsewhere will invalidate the watch warranty.

If the watch body is damaged or damaged, you will find detailed information on how to repair it on the manufacturer's website, which you can access via the following link: https://repairs.mgiservice.com/ferrari/

The original English text is located on the watch box.
