Few people know that Max Verstappen isn't just involved in Formula 1; the driver also has his own racing team, which has now signed a contract with Aston Martin.
This is quite interesting in light of the known F1 rumors and can be considered a rather strong approach, as Verstappen.com Racing will compete in the GT World Challenge Endurance series with the British brand's race car and its direct support.
The Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will be driven by the trio of Harry King, Thierry Vermeulen, and Chris Lulham. For the latter, the challenge will be especially exciting, as the youngster comes from a simulator background, and this will be the first race car he will compete in in real life. Verstappen's team has long supported the development of young drivers, but this will be the first time they've given the opportunity to an athlete from a virtual environment:
"I've always dreamed of helping young drivers one day, and I've been working on creating this opportunity for a simulator driver for some time. Together with Chris Lulham, whom we know well from the Team Redline simulation team, as well as Thierry Vermeulen and Harry King, we're taking on an exciting new challenge. We'll be working with a professional team in a championship that represents a huge challenge. We still have a lot of work to do to get the most out of our cars and drivers, but our goal is clearly to compete at the front. We're looking forward to an exciting year!" said Max Verstappen, who can't rule out joining the team one day.
