Ralf Schumacher is certain that Max Verstappen will no longer compete for Red Bull Racing next year, and he will stand by that opinion even if he is sued for it.
The reason isn't Red Bull's poor performance this year; you have to dig deeper to understand what the German is saying:
“It’s completely obvious that Max Verstappen will only stay at Red Bull for a limited time. It’s not because of the car’s poor performance, but because the new engine project has destabilized the relationship between driver and team. In addition to the power struggles… However, Mercedes and Aston Martin, which aligns with Honda, could be familiar territory for Max. He knows what he expects there. Meanwhile, at Red Bull, more difficulties will come, such as problems with the engine electronics and the gradual erosion of the team. The tension between Christian Horner and Helmut Marko is constant, which leads to nothing good, even a blind man can see that. This is what Max Verstappen hates and what he runs away from. That’s true, even if Horner sues me for my opinion.”
Toto Wolff is also currently chasing him, having once forced Verstappen to retire, which turned out to be a huge mistake. But Max won't be going to Mercedes, but to Aston Martin. Either Fernando Alonso or Lance Stroll would have to leave early to make room for him, but the Greens will sort that out.
