Ralf Schumacher says what's happening at Scuderia Ferrari is simply a joke. One of the most iconic teams competing for the world championship made mistakes this weekend that would be laughable even in the most basic training series.
As a result, both team drivers were disqualified after the Chinese Grand Prix, which Schumacher said will have serious consequences:
“To be blunt, there was a missing element of Charles Leclerc's car. That missing part weighed two kilos, which definitely should have been taken into account, and on top of that... At this level of engineering, they should have already prepared with a safety margin. This is nothing but pure incompetence. Lewis Hamilton's case, unfortunately, is even worse and raises more serious questions. After Saturday's sprint race, they should have known how worn the floor had become. And what happened happened... I think this will have serious consequences, personal consequences!”
"A mistake of this magnitude can't be allowed to go unnoticed. They had the pace to close out a great weekend, but what they did on Sunday is simply ridiculous, unacceptable. It's not Ferrari-level work. With a performance like that, they shouldn't be aiming to be champions," Schumacher expressed his forceful but justified opinion.
