The Australian Grand Prix is dangerously approaching, and not everything is going as smoothly as it should at Red Bull. At least, that's what a recent statement from the team's technical director suggests.
Pierre Wache reported some disappointment regarding the progress they've made. It appears to be considerably less than that of their main rivals, and the car isn't performing as they would like and had anticipated.
“I think the first day of testing went well. However, from the second day onwards, certain problems arose that prevented us from finding the right operating range. This, in turn, defines our competitiveness. Currently, it's a serious problem… I think the start will be very close, because McLaren and Ferrari are faster than us,” Wache declared optimistically despite the difficult situation.
