Oscar Piastri has raised the bar over the past two years, and this year he wants to raise it even further. The Australian isn't content with a supporting role and also wants to win the individual world title alongside the constructors' championship!
In his first season he finished in 9th place, in his second he was already 4th, and this year, explicitly and implicitly, he is aiming for the individual world title:
"I believe I can become a contender for the 2025 world championship fight. I'm aware I still have a lot to improve and learn, but I've reached a point where there are days when I'm fully prepared for what it takes to win. I just have to be able to put things together. Many said I lacked balance, but balance alone won't make you successful; you also need raw speed and good tire management. I primarily saw myself as having to move up in qualifying and improve my laps.
"I've often made life difficult for myself by finishing a few positions behind what I could have achieved... Now I've reached the point where I just have to put things together. We're already struggling at the front; here it's much more noticeable if you don't do something really well, but I feel like I already have everything within me for what it takes to win the world championship," declared Oscar Piastri with determination.
