Exciting moments await this weekend's F1 World Championship race, especially from a Japanese perspective. It's not just local fans who will be able to see Yuki Tsunoda take to the track.

Another youngster will also have the opportunity, specifically Toyota WEC driver Ryo Hirakawa, who will be able to take the 2025 Alpine for a spin. Hirakawa will be able to get into the car in FP1 at the Japanese Grand Prix, and it won't be completely unfamiliar territory for him to be behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car, as he already gained experience last year in Abu Dhabi with Oscar Piastri's McLaren.

“I'm extremely excited and already looking forward to driving the A525 in the first practice session of the Japanese Grand Prix. 18 years ago, in 2007, I watched the Japanese Grand Prix at Fuji, and soon I'll be able to experience firsthand what it feels like to race in front of my home fans. It'll be a dream come true! I'm counting the days!” Hirakawa declared.
