It wasn't an easy weekend at the Australian Grand Prix, but McLaren, and especially Lando Norris, managed to win with exemplary professionalism, never letting go of their chances of victory. Woking makes no secret of their hopes for similar success in the future...
This was expressed by Lando Norris, who declared: the best of 2025 is McLaren, whoever wants to be world champion has to beat them:
"We know we still have a lot of work to do with this year's car. We can't be complacent; if we relax in this situation, we'll fail. If we think everything's fine, we'll be overtaken. We won't do that favor!"
However, we see and feel that this year we are the favorites; the team has done a sensational job, and our car really flies. But we are aware that there will be races where we will also struggle. For example, if the season opener had been in Bahrain, I don't think we would have won... But it's a fact that this year we will be the team to beat if anyone wants to fight for the world title. We have two drivers at the front, who will push each other, and Oscar Piastri will not do us any favors by making frequent mistakes. Already in qualifying, we stood out because we motivated each other to constantly accelerate and squeeze the last tenths of a second out of the car. So, the car is good, but our team is also very strong, and this is just the beginning," Norris noted.
