It seems that Formula 1 could be inspired by Brad Pitt's film for an interesting innovation.
Anyone who has attended a motorsport event will have seen teams manually push cars back into their pits, both after scrutineering and from parc ferme. The same thing happens during pit stop practice, which in F1 typically takes place on the Thursday of media day. Here, the mechanics are divided into two groups: one team simulates the pit entry by pushing the car, while the other changes the wheels and nose. In the film directed by Brad Pitt, these scenes were filmed using a replica car equipped with electric assistance, built exclusively for this purpose. Pitt has commented that the teams envied this idea they originated, and are now considering installing an additional battery that would be equipped specifically for these pit stop practices. This would reduce the need for human resources, and due to the higher arrival speed, the simulation would be more realistic.
An interesting idea that could make the film's team double-entry into Formula 1 history / PITTstop :)/?
