Many are dissatisfied with the performance of FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem. The organization's members are tense, the drivers are nervous, and even ordinary fans don't believe the sport is moving in the right direction...
A reshuffle will take place at the motorsports federation in December, and now it seems that, in addition to the dissatisfaction, Sulayem will have a strong new competitor.
It was his idea that led to the most childish sanction in the history of the sport, the penalty for drivers who swear, which will be further tightened by 2025. And then there's the Monaco Grand Prix violation with extra stops, to mention just the tip of the iceberg, not to mention that the dictatorial behavior of the sporting leader has led to the departure of a number of valuable professionals from the federation. More and more people are saying that the FIA is "no longer a free organization," which raises some rather serious concerns.
According to some media outlets, Susie Wolff is seriously considering a run for president. Furthermore, Toto Wolff's wife has a personal grievance and a direct interest in Sulayem, as the latter investigated (or allegedly investigated) the Wolff couple for incompatibility in 2023. The affair caused such a scandal that the FIA leader quickly backed down, but the thorn surely still lingers in the other side. Sulayem has so far only responded that he is pleased there is a female competitor in the election.

So, we'll see how sincere this joy is...
