A horrible mess, Lando Norris's journey to hell, Max Verstappen's resurrection, seasoned with a little Alpine magic. That's how the Brazilian Grand Prix unfolds.
The Brazilian Grand Prix hadn't even started yet, and we could already document the first retirement: Lance Stroll dropped his Aston Martin on the formation lap and buried himself in the gravel. So his race was over... The "second" start was best captured by George Russell, who immediately took the lead from Lando Norris. The field got off to a relatively clean start, with only Sergio Pérez managing to spin, dropping to last place. Meanwhile, in the other Red Bull, Max Verstappen made a strong comeback, moving up to seventh place, ahead of Oscar Piastri within a few laps. Franco Colapinto and Oliver Bearman also shone, overtaking the struggling Lewis Hamilton. The seven-time world champion was visibly struggling, unable to find the chemistry with his car and falling back in the field. Just as the race was beginning to flatten out, an extreme amount of water fell on the track, prompting a safety car phase.
Before that, several drivers visited the pit lane, including Collapinto, who unfortunately wrecked his Williams on his out-lap. A red flag, a long wait, and then a flying restart followed. During this, Esteban Ocon maintained his lead, but Lando Norris lost a lot of ground at the back due to a slide. Meanwhile, Bearman ended up in the wall, but everything happened in a good place, so the race could continue without problems. Meanwhile, Ocon's lead continued to increase, but Carlos Sainz arrived, had an accident, and the safety car was brought out again. This time, Verstappen captured the restart better and took the lead. And since Norris made a huge mistake, he practically handed the opportunity to his rival...
The next twenty laps went like this: Verstappen and the two Alpine drivers on the podium, battling further back in the field, and Norris "nowhere." In the remaining time, no drama occurred; Max Verstappen thus won the Brazilian Grand Prix after a fierce fight, with a huge lead, ahead of Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly. And with that, he probably also secured another world title.
