Loic Serra has begun work at Scuderia Ferrari, and it's said that visible and tangible results will soon be seen. The Ferrari with the code 677 will be a completely new construction and, in theory, will be capable of much faster lap times.
Serra has extensive experience in the field of vehicle dynamics, which he intends to apply to the 2025 red model. The components that make up the suspension, torsion bars, and dampers are said to be changing, and the goal is for the 677 to be able to push the new Pirelli tyres to the highest possible operating range. This will reduce overheating and allow for more aggressive single-lap stages with better tire management. That's the goal.

The 2024 car, the SF-24, had a good relationship with its tires in the races, but during qualifying, the drivers suffered greatly from grip and difficult warm-up times. This often resulted in Scuderia Ferrari only being able to start from the rear in places that would otherwise be reachable by power, and this dilemma is what the team led by Loic Serra is strongly addressing. The changes incorporated into the 677's design are intended to rewrite Ferrari's fundamental behavior, and signs of this are expected to be seen already at the first scrutineering, which will take place on February 19 at Fiorano.
