Although we still have a bit of a wait before the start of the 2025 season, serious work is already underway. We'll soon hear the first starts of the new cars, filming days will begin, and then testing... And suddenly, the Australian Grand Prix championship opener is here!
And immediately, a major change, as with this, F1 returns to its roots and established traditions. For a long time, it would have been unthinkable for the season not to start in Melbourne. Thankfully, traditions have won, so on March 16, the 76th season of Formula 1 will be able to kick off at Albert Park, where, just like last year, 24 races will be held this year, including six sprint weekends. The first of these will take place on the second race weekend of the year, in Shanghai, followed by Miami, Spa Francorchamps, Austin, Sao Paulo, and Losail, where there will also be excitement on Friday.
The group will arrive in Europe in mid-May, with Imola being the first race in which the Formula 1 World Championship sets foot on the old continent. A significant change affecting us Hungarians is that the Hungarian Grand Prix has also resumed its usual role as the last race before the summer break, arriving at the renovated Hungaroring between August 3 and 5. The location and date of the final race will remain fixed, once again closing the F1 racing season in early December, in Abu Dhabi.
