Brown: "Verstappen will no longer be a Red Bull driver in 2026"

Brown: “Verstappen ya no será piloto de Red Bull en 2026”

McLaren boss Zak Brown makes a (not so) surprising statement: he believes Max Verstappen is in his last year with Red Bull Racing. At the same time, Lando Norris' boss also made a surprising prediction...

According to Brown, Verstappen will not build a new career with the much-mentioned Aston Martin, but with another team:

“I think this will be his last year at Red Bull, and I would bet he will continue at Mercedes! I know many have been talking a lot about Aston Martin, especially since Adrian Newey joined them. But it will take time for Adrian to build the organizational culture and the team around him that will allow them to compete for the championship. Max doesn't like to wait... That's why I think Mercedes will be his destination. And actually, it would be a completely logical step. Mercedes has been the most successful team of the last decade, which struggled last year, but still won four races and is on an upward trajectory. They are well prepared for the 2026 rule changes, we know that Toto Wolff is also intensely interested in Max, plus both drivers' contracts are about to expire…” - Zak Brown commented on Verstappen's bombshell.
