This is how Verstappen can become WORLD CHAMPION in Las Vegas

Así puede Verstappen ser CAMPEÓN DEL MUNDO en Las Vegas

Tóth Krisztián Márk |

The bottom line, and most importantly, if Max Verstappen wins his next race, there's no doubt he's the world champion. If he doesn't, there could still be a championship crown in Las Vegas, or perhaps Lando Norris could prevent it...

We show you how:

If Verstappen finishes second, Norris must win to keep his chances alive.

If Verstappen finishes third, Norris must finish at least second. However, if the Red Bull driver also achieves the best lap time, that would still mean the title for him.

If Verstappen finishes fourth, Norris needs at least third place to keep his hopes alive. If the Dutchman finishes fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, or ninth, Norris must overtake him by at least two positions. If Norris sets the best lap time, he only needs to finish one position ahead of him to (theoretically) stay in the race. If Verstappen finishes tenth, Norris must finish in the top eight. And finally, if Verstappen doesn't score any points, Norris would need to finish at least ninth—all of this, of course, with the best lap time.
Did we already say we hate math?
