For some strange reason, there's always a lot of interest in the list of Formula 1 driver salaries, which has been published by Forbes magazine.
Business magazine Forbes published its "estimate" today, revealing the top ten drivers earning the most in the championship this year, including base salaries and bonuses in US dollars. At the top of the list is four-time world champion Max Verstappen, who boasts $75 million.
Lewis Hamilton has nothing to be ashamed of either. However, Lando Norris, who occupies the last place on the imaginary earnings podium, is a far cry from the top two. It's interesting to note how heavily bonuses influence the total. There are also interesting tidbits, such as how humorous it is that Carlos Sainz Jr. or Pierre Gasly can be behind Sergio Pérez, but Oscar Piastri's low base salary is also more than surprising...
