Fernando Alonso feels that throughout his career he has been subjected to injustice, as he has always been in weaker cars than his rivals.
Alonso participated in a documentary produced by Spanish television, where the two-time world champion spoke about how he's always been at a technical disadvantage. From a very young age, from his childhood...
"I remember when I started racing karting as a kid, I always had only one set of tires. It rained a lot in Asturias, and at those times, the other kids got rain tires, but not me because we didn't have the money for them.
This hasn't changed in Formula 1. Here I already have rain tires, but, for example, I don't have Ferrari's wings or McLaren's flat floor. In the end, that's what my whole life, my whole career, was about: I had to fight with weaker weapons and adapt more than the others... This hasn't changed, nor has my hunger for success.
"If I go out on a kart track today and see the best guys are one or one and a half seconds faster than me, I feel just as angry, just as frustrated, as when I can't get dinner at night. I hate losing; that's what keeps me going!" the Aston Martin star reflected.
